Billy:

First of all, I wish I got paid for this. But the fact that someone even thinks it's a possibility I could get money for this makes me very happy (unless you meant: "they pay you for this load of crap??", but I choose to believe the former). Maybe someday...

As for Rivers, I think yoru partner could be proven clinically insane if he opts for Rivers in the second round. In the mock drafts I've been participating in for practice (by the way, I highly recommend this, especially for partners), Rivers has been going anywehere from Round 4-6. Granted, that's in 10 team leagues, but you have to look at two things: (a) there's an excellent chance he'll be available to you in the third round; and (b) even if he's not, are you really getting top value in the second round with him?

I think there are six better QBs in the NFL this year (Brees, Brady, Rodgers, P. Manning and Warner), and at least five if you don't want to count on Warner staying healthy.

At #5, you have a shot at either a top tier WR (and there are only 4 in the whole draft, so get em while they're hot) or a good RB who can catch and then grab a high second tier WR in the second round. I guess what I'm saying is, if you don't grab one of each, or two good WRs in the first two rounds, the pickins are gonna be mighty slim after that.

As for LT, you're definitely not crazy... huge risk, but also an incredibly high reward. I think he's at least worth a look at #5 (especially if the Big Four are gone - AP, Forte, Turner and Jones-Drew). However, I still think it's hard to pass up a receiver at #5.

Mike, do you get paid for this?? You might have the best job I've ever seen, alluding to Appetite... I have a partner in both leagues I'm in (I know), this guy loves Rivers so much, he doesn't want to let him go past the 2nd round. We have the 5th pick in a PPR, 6pts for QB TD, 12 team league. How do I convince him to wait until at least RD 3? I agree about LT, how soon we forget the greatest player on earth! He's not "too" old, am I crazy to still think of him for the 5th pick overall?
